At Hoekstra’s Market and Greenhouse we take pride in our quality vegetables that we harvest and sell throughout the year. If it’s sweet corn, tomatoes or peppers you are looking for, we have it, WHOLESALE or RETAIL.

PEAS
We start by selling fresh peas mid June. We buy them from Miller farms in Hancock. All the peas we sell are picked and sold within 2 days. We sell them in 1, 3 and 5 pound packages. They are kept in a cooler to keep them fresh.  Peas are best eaten fresh, but if you cant, blanche them and put them in the refrigerator for extra shelf life.

SWEET CORN
By early to mid July we are harvesting sweet corn. We hand pick our sweet corn fresh every morning Monday thru Saturday.  We grow super sweet and sh2 bi-color varieties. Sweet corn is best if it is picked and eaten within a couple days.  It is best to refrigerate it and leave the sweet corn in the husk until you are ready to prepare it.    We raise over 140 acres of sweet corn sold both retail and wholesale.  Our wholesale sweet corn is grown by us under the Kok's sweet corn LLC name.  For questions about wholesale orders please call Glen @ 1-920-210-6226 or Steve @ 1-920-210-7107.

TOMATOES
The tomatoes we sell have great flavor and are good keepers. We pick tomatoes when they are red ripe  for the best quality taste. We pick, sort, and clean all of our tomatoes before we sell them. Tomatoes should be stored at room temperature. Do not put them in the refrigerator.  We sell the MyPride tomatoes which are known for being both meaty and juicy. Always a delicious treat. We also grow the Roma tomatoes.We start all of our tomato plants from seed.  After the tomato plants  are transplanted into the field we stake them to keep the fruit off the ground.  We sell our tomatoes by the pound or by the bushel.  Please contact us for more info.

PEPPERS
We raise approximately 30,000  pepper plants. We raise the Jumbo Green bell peppers that turn red  as well as  hot banana, jalapeno, and cayenne. Did you know that  peppers start out green and then turn color? If you want to get your red peppers leave them on the vine a while longer!  At the time of harvest, we hand pick them and clean them with our  vegetable washer before selling them.

CUCUMBERS AND PICKLING CUCUMBERS  We grow approximately 12,000 cucumber and pickle plants.  We sell the pickling cucumbers by the piece, 1/2 peck, peck, 1/2 bushel, and bushel.  It is very important to call and get your name on our list early.  It seems like we can never grow enough pickles.  Call the market for more details (920)928-2398

COLE CROPS
We raise broccoli, cabbage, and JUMBO Kohlrabi. The Jumbo King Kohlrabi is nothing like our parents raised. They can get to be the size of a basketball and not get woody.  They are great raw, cooked, fried and even baked on the grill. Definitely a must try!!!.

BEANS
Our beans are usually ready early July. We plant a special slender bean that has very small seeds. We plant several plantings so we have great quality beans all season. Beans are great raw or cooked.

MELONS
We grow seedless and seeded watermelon, and cantaloupe.  All of our melons are sugar sweet and are backed with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Perfect treat for those hot summer days.

SQUASH
We grow zucchini squash, butternut, buttercup, acorn, and hearts of gold.  You can eat the zucchini raw, bake with them, stir fry, and cook a lot of great vegetable dishes with them.
Our fall squash is usually ready mid to end of september.  You can prepare them in the oven or microwave. Squash can be frozen or canned as well so you can enjoy all year round. 

PUMPKINS
In the fall we have a “pick your own” patch of pumpkins. We sell pumpkins wholesale and retail. We have all sizes available. We have the little ornamental pumpkins, pie pumpkins and the huge carving pumpkins. Along with pumpkins we also have ornamental gourds.
